Egerton came together today to celebrate World Book Day! Our students loved to see their teachers replaced by well loved characters of literature. How many characters can you identify?
World Book Day
We are very excited to celebrate World Book Day here at Egerton High School! Our students are extremely creative and love to engage in our weekly 'relax and read' sessions. The students also continually produce amazing short stories and poems of their own. We are in no doubt that on World Book Day..
Relax & Read
in our weekly ‘Relax & Read’ sessions, our Year 7 students are loving ‘Who Let the God’s Out’ by Maz Evans.
We’re so impressed with the connections they’re making to their Origins of Literature unit.
Yoga therapy.
We do yoga therapy once a week. It has fantastic benefits for our students such as improving emotional regulation, boosting self-esteem, increasing their body awareness & mindfulness. It also help their physical health, builds strength & flexibility.
Another debate!
The debate question was ‘Should robots replace teachers?’. Both sides had a strong arguments but it was the ‘For’ team that took the victory as their teamwork skills were brilliant.

Tom Brady.
We have been discussing Tom Brady during breakfast time this week. He shared a number of our school values and attributes his success to the following components:

Puppy Visitor!
It is heartwarming to see our pupils taking good care of our little guest. I was impressed with level of maturity. All I have seen today was tender love and care!
