Summary Conclusions:

· This year we had the highest number of students sitting GCSE exams across a wider range of subjects, with the majority of students demonstrating our school values of resilience and personal responsibility throughout the exam period.

· In English, 46% of main body students achieved a grade 4-9 (A*-C)- 38% of these students achieved at least two grades higher than their FFT target. In Art, 38% of main body students achieved the equivalent of a grade 4-9 (A*-C). In Sport Studies, 8% also achieved a grade 4-9 (A*-C). In Art, (add figure for Silver award).

· Across the curriculum, there was an increase in students achieving their FFT targets compared to 2022 (+11% in English, +21% in Maths, +23% in Chemistry and +31% in History)

Summary Conclusions: · The majority, 64%, of on-site Year 11 students achieved two extra qualifications this year: Cambridge Nationals in Sport Studies and Health & Social Studies. Students have performed particularly well in these qualifications with some of our best ever results: L2Distinctions (Grade 7/A) in both Sports and Health & Social Studies and L2Merits (Grade 6/B) in both as well. No off-site students achieved these extra qualifications. · +11% increase since 2019 in students achieving their FFT target in Maths GCSE. · +6% increase since 2019 in students achieving their FFT target in English GCSE. · This year, 43% of students achieved a 4-9 (A*-C) in English 7% achieved a 4-9 (A*-C) in 5 in Maths, 55% achieved a 4-9 (A*-C) in Sport Studies, 50% achieved a 4-9 in Health & Social Studies, and 25% achieved a 4-9 (A*-C) in Art. · Students who were educated off site with Alternative Provision did not meet their FFT targets in any subjects and unfortunately did not gain any additional qualifications despite being in education for a number of years.
