Welcome to PROvision

PROvision is a post-16, SEMH specialist provider, and Sixth Form to Egerton High School. SEMH refers to social, emotional, and mental health and we cater in managing emotions and behaviour that potentially impact learning and social interactions. We offer a bespoke and tailored package, carefully chosen to cater to the needs of our students, and best support them in their next ventures. We are student focused and committed to equipping our young adults with the values, skills, and qualities required to become successful members of society. It is our duty to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students evidenced in the environment we have created and the nurturing approach of our practise.

At PROvision we see academic outcome and nurture as the two pillars needed to work simultaneously in order to achieve the best results. This is crucial for student progression, and why we offer mentors who work alongside tutors with therapeutic approaches to support with social, emotional and trauma-based needs. Such therapies include gym sessions, mindfulness walks, talking therapy and sport therapy.

Positive mindset is thoroughly promoted at PROvision, with entrepreneurship being a key theme that’s filtered throughout the curriculum. We encourage students to be critical thinkers and independently problem solvers, developing a confidence in challenging situations. This builds resilience within our students, preparing them to face any challenges that may surface.

Our Community

Here at PROvision, we brand ourselves as a community within a wider community, and this is the perfect environment for our young adults to develop further and exercise the values we teach and adhere by. We are based at a local Community & Leisure centre in Urmston, which is open to the public, meaning on a day-to-day basis students are faced with people of the community. Along with members of the public, there are various staff members who are present in the building during college hours. It could be, Leisure site staff or NHS staff and this provides a realistic atmosphere for students as they are expected to show respect and be mindful of their surroundings. Whether they are on PROvision grounds, in the leisure centre or at the gym, all students are representing PROvision and what we stand for. It is essential that a professional conduct is maintained. Due to the frequent interactions with members of the public, a confidence is developed within our students as they conquer social anxiety and feel a sense of acceptance.

All leisure centre staff have developed positive relations with the Sixth Form students, which has only helped them settle in and feel part of the wider community. During our voluntary section of Duke of Edinburgh, we have been fortunate with many opportunities arising to give back to the community, with students working on some of the centre’s maintenance jobs. This provides students the chance to put all they’ve been learning on the Painting & Decorating course to the test. Furthermore, its brilliant to add to their CV.

Sixth Form Ethos

PROvision is built on three key characteristics:

  • manifestation,

  • entrepreneurship

  • independence.

  • Manifestation - Our aim is to enable students to have a vision of the future, and understand the mechanics of manifestation. This will motivate and focus students on achieving a set goal.

  • Independence is a key focal point at PROvision and the driving force behind our students becoming young adults. Support is always readily available; however, we challenge students to attempt to work independently. Students are responsible to sign themselves in, manage their own time, and organize work portfolios. Small responsibilities encourage independence within our students, supporting their next step towards adulthood.

  • Entrepreneurship is a mindset that can be applied to all areas of life, and we strive for our students to one day attain the skills and qualities to start their own business endeavours. We aim for our students to think, act and work like entrepreneurs. This message is consistently applied to students in all our work with them.
